We hope these pages have given you a flavour of what you can expect at Infiniti. Many of you will have seen for yourselves the apartments and villas either by having stayed there previously or by having looked round during an earlier visit to Fuerteventura.

What to do next

You can either telephone us on 01548 561289 or e-mail us using the Enquiry Form. Please include your telephone number so that we can call you back.

It is advisable not book your flights until you have confirmed that the accommodation best suited to you is available on the dates you want. We can then hold the accommodation for you for an agreed period of about a week whilst you book flights, arrange for time off work or whatever.

We will confirm your booking in writing once we have received completed the Booking Form and the appropriate deposit.

Please also note that our normal arrival day is a Wednesday when there is the largest selection of flights direct to the island. However, as there are a few charter flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays and an increasing number of flights throughout the year with low-cost airline Easyjet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, we will do our best to accommodate a different arrival day if you would find it better.

Just visiting us
If you are visiting the island shortly but had not heard about Infiniti when you booked, and would like to look around to see if you would like to stay with us in the future, let us know so that we can arrange it.

Our address is
Calle Los Matos 10, Corralejo
Payments

At the time of booking a deposit of £50 per week for an apartment or £100 per week for a villa is payable. The balance will then be due 10 weeks before your departure. For bookings made within 10 weeks of departure, the full amount is due on booking.

Payments are normally made in Sterling either by cheque to our address in Devon or by bank transfer direct into our account. However, for our increasing number of guests from Ireland, Spain and other parts of the Euro zone, we have a price list in Euros and can accept payment in Euros (not in Sterling) in cash on Fuerteventura. This Euro price list and payment system also applies to those UK guests who pay on arrival.

Extras

If you require a cot, high chair, infants paddling pool etc let us know at least two weeks before you arrive so that we can have them in your property for you. There is no charge for these. If you are going to have a special birthday or anniversary whilst you are staying with us, we would also like to know !

Flights

There are now over 40 direct flights to Puerto del Rosario airport on Fuerteventura from the UK each week. Don’t believe those selling scheduled flights who may tell you that the only way of getting to the island is with several stops, taking 2 days and costing you £1000 plus !!!    We do not book flights for guests, but can give some help if needed.

Costs of flights

What is reasonable to pay for a flight is very much a personal judgement, and it is a lot easier with hindsight.

Charter flights can be reduced the nearer the departure date you get, although our recent experience is that, particularly at busy times, they are more than likely to go up, with Tour Operators reducing capacity rather than making huge reductions in price.

Low cost airline flights are seldom reduced in price near departure, so at least with them it almost always pays to book early. They are also more than likely, but not always, to be considerably cheaper than Charter flights. For example we have recently taken a booking for early December where the guest has paid less the £30, including all taxes, surcharges and credit card fees for a return flight !! It makes a long winter weekend in the sun a possibility, although there won’t be many flights quite at that price.

Charter flights

Traditionally all the direct flights were on charter airlines. This is still the way most people fly to Fuerteventura. Charters offer the widest choice of UK departure airports. At the last count Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Exeter, Gatwick, Glasgow, Humberside, Leeds Bradford, Luton, Manchester, Newcastle and Stansted airports were all served. Flights from the provincial airport are mainly the preserve of the “Big Two” Tour operators, Thomsons / First Choice and Thomas Cook / Airtours. From the major cities there are additional flights from smaller companies such as Avro, Monarch and Kiss and recently Palmair have entered the market from the South-West.

Low cost airlines

For just five months in 2008-9 the low cost airline, Ryanair, flew direct to Fuerteventura for the first time, although they had flown from the Republic for some years. These flights have now stopped, although there are rumours they may start direct services again sometime in 2010.

Easyjet currently fly direct to the island from Liverpool on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and from Stansted on Wednesdays and Saturdays. They are advertising these flights as far ahead as their flight programme is published, well into Autumn 2010.

Low cost airlines can also be used to fly via cities such as Barcelona or Madrid to Fuerteventura or to Lanzarote from the UK with a short ferry ride to Corralejo. Although this is definitely not for everyone it is an option.

Car hire

Although car hire is not essential for a stay at Infiniti, the island is well worth exploring. Collection of a hire car at the airport saves the cost of a taxi from the airport to Corralejo. This is currently about £30 each way. A standard small car should cost about £100 per week.
There are many organisations offering car hire. Most are reasonable, but those who appear too cheap or want extra money for “extra” insurance are perhaps best avoided. We would always use an organisation whose local agent has an office at the airport itself. This saves the almost inevitable, and sometimes lengthy, delay whilst those agents using
“a chap to meet you in Arrivals” take the people in front of you in the queue and then you to their car park some miles away to collect your car.
